Proposal to raise a Loan under "The Local Bodies Loan Act, 1901," and its Amendments. "IvrOTICE is hereby given of the inten_i\| tion of the Masterton County C juncil, subject to the consent of the Ratepayers being obtained thereto by Poll, to raise a Loan under tho above mentioned Acts for the purpose of constructing Head Works and distributing races in connection with a Water Supply for the 'Opaki Water Supply District. The sum proposed to bo borrowed for the said purpose is ,£2500. The currency of the loan is to be a period of 21 years, and the proposed security will be a special rate of one penny in the pound on the rateable value for the time being of all rateable property within the said Wator-raco District, as defined in tho special order made by the Council on the Bth day of Juno, 1005 constituting the said District —but, excepting therefrom one hundred and forty three acres of land, being parts of Sections G3 to 69, 05 and 5(5, Blocks I Otahoua, and XIII Kopuaranga Survey Districts in the occupation of Mr Alfred Matthews, and lots 5 and 6, parts of Sections 81, 83 and 85, Block 1., Otahoua, containing 59a Or 10p„ in the occupation of Steven Connell. The currency of tho loan is to bo period of 21 years, and tho proposed security will be a special rato of one penny and a sixteenth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value for the time being of all rateable property within the Lansdowne High-pressure Water Service District as defined in tho Special order made by the Council on the Bth day of June, 1905, constituting tho said District. The cost of raising the loan is to be a charge upon the money borrowed. A meeting of Ratepayers for tho purpose of considering the proposal will bo convened in accordance with the provisions of law, and notice of the time and place of such meeting will bo given in due course.
