Mr A. Good in has been elected japtain of the Carterton B hockey m. Mr T. P. Firman, of Carterton, who underwent a serious operation at "Wellington, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery. The funeral of the late Mrs Robert Reay, whose deatli occurred at Mangatainoka on Saturday morning, took place yesterday afternoon, the cortege leaving the residence of the deceased's sister, Miss Little, in Sedcole Street, Pahiatua, at 2.30 p.m. for the Mangatainoka Cemetery.
