Also started—All Red, Aborgine, Diamond Star, Splash. Bobrikoff led all the way, and won by a clear length. King Post came with a good run from the diatance and just beat the favourite ifor second money. Time, Imin 24sec. Burke Memorial Stakes, once round.—Kairoma, 7.4, 1; Grand Slam, 8.8, 2; OJenuku, 7.9, 3. Also started —Loiret, Mystification, Chicane, King's Lynn. Won easily. Time, lmirvs3;3-ssec. Second Scucry Hack Handicap, 5 furlongs.— Advantage 7.0, 1; Maiora, 8.0, 2; Miss Time, 7.12, 3. Also started— Erl -King, Wonderbohm, Goldfield, Tuatahi, Miss Advance, Hapuku. Won* by a length. Mangatarata Hurdles, 1£ mile.— Waipu, 9.4, 1,; Black Reynard 11.11, 2; Gold Dust, 11.13, 3. Also started Pushful. Te Kainui, Reservoir. Won by half a length. Time, considered ithe running of Waipu, but decided that it was unnecessary to hold an inquiry.
Juvenile Handicap, 5 furlongs. — GhHntreuse, 7.11, 1; Contendent, 8.10, 2; The Cockatoo, 6.13, 3. Also started Formative, Berengaria, Castiglione, Bally High, Remission, .Polynices, Thaler. Won by ihalf a length. Time, lmin 3 l-ssec. Farewell Handicap, 7 furlongs.— Woodhey, 7.13, 1; Thd Seer, 7.10, .2.; Chatterer, 8.0, 3. Also started —Loiret/ King's Lynn, Erin, Milleriial, Tarina. Woodhey pulled to the front at the home bend, and won comfortably. Loiret, Erin and Tarina fell shortly after the start. Tiime, lmin 33sec.
