MEETING op DELEGATES AT - PRETORIA. PREFERENCE TO BRITAIN AGREED TO. Received May 8, 8.10 a..m. PRETORIA, May 7. At the Intercolonial Conference being held here, during a debate on the Customs question, the delegates from Cape and Orange River Colonies, acquiesced for the sake of uniformity, in the continuance of preference to Britain, reserving to themselves tha right to raise objections later. . It was apparent that the conference was indisposed ti disturb arrangements unnecessarily, pending the progress of closer union. THE FUTURE CAPITAL. GROWING FEELING IN FAVOUR OF CAPETOWN.
Received May 8, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, May 7. "The Times" nCapetown correspondent reports- that visiters from the Transvaal declare that the feelh g against Capetown as the Federal capital is almost gone. General Botha, the Transvaal Premier, is believed to favour Capetown.
