A LIBEL ACTION. Received May 7, 9.18 a m. LONDON, May 6. An action by John Murray, the publisher, against "The Times," has begun before Mr Justice Darling and a special jury in the King's Bench division of the High Court, for alleged libel contained in hitters signed "Artifex," the first of which appeared on October 19th last, dealing with the cost of producing the "Letters of Queen Victoria." Mr Murray, in his evidence, gave detail" of the enormous cost of producing the book. He stated that on the first edition of ten thousand copies, his profit was 2s SJd per copy.
