m» COST OF THE NEW ACQUISI- ' TIONS. Received May 6, 8.59 a.m. LONDON, May 5. The pries paid for thestatues of "Diana" and "Ariadne," which have been bought for the nation by the trustees of the Chantrey bequest, is one thousand guineas each. , A cablegram, published yesterday morning, stated the"Diana," which is the work of Mr McKennal, an Australian sculptor, had been highly praised by the London "Times."
