Lord Robert Cecil, Conservative member for East Marylebone, has presented to Parliament a London petition bearing 600,000 signatures, covering nine miles of paper, protesting against the Licensing Bill. Mr John Wilson, Liberal member for Worcestershire North, has also presented a petition to Parliament, bit in favour of the Bill. This petition is a mile and one-third in length, and contains 169,510 Methodists signatures.
