- LONDON, May 1. Floods have almost isolated Maidenhead, Eton, and other pUces in the Thames valley. A heat wave has succeeded the wintry, weather. The construction of new docks at Liverpool, on a site northward of the Hornby Dock, will shortly be commenced. They are to be called the Gladstone Docks, and the cost will be three millions. In connection with an extensive forgery of French Rente coupons, a man named Hill, a counterfeiter, and distributing agent in London, has been arrested. The agent in Germany, one Miller, has also been arrested at '.Weisbaden. PARIS, May 1. A large body of Moors ambushed and massacred two French sergeants and several tiralleura near Ajachtseg on the Senegal river.
