BY TBIiEOBAPn • PHIMH,'.ASSOCIATION'. CHRISTCHURCH, April 30. A startling collision between an electric car and a heavy waggon attached t* a traction engine occurred on the Riccarton line to-night. The traction engine, with several waggons attached, was being driven along the tram track, no lights being shown either in front or behind, and the car, which was travelling at the rate of sixteen miles an hour, crashed into the rear of the waggon. The car was crumpled up. but the motorman and passengers miraculously escaped without injury.
