STOCK MARKET.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their Pahiatua sale on Tuesday, April 28th:—All sheep entered came forward; not many cattle in. Bidding all round was dull, but after the sale we managed to quit all wethers and most of the other sheep. We quote—Wethers lis 9d to 12s 3d, ewes in lamb to Bs, cull ewes 2s; cattle, weaners, lis. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale held yesterday as follows: —We submitted a much larger number of sheep than were advertised, upwards of 5,000 being yarded. Competition for all classes, with the exception of ewes in lamb, was good, and prices realised showed an increase, particularly for lambs, than those ruling at late sales. We quote:—Sheep.—j Fat and forward wethers 14s 6d, turnip wethers 12s 7d to 13s, twctooth (small) 9s Id to 10s 6d, fat and forward ewes 9a 2d to Us 7d, two-tooth ewes 9s 2d to 10s 6d. (small) 8s 7d, store ewes 6s to 7s 2d, sound mouth ewes in lamb 6s to 9s 6d, cull ewes 3s to 4s sd, fat lambs 9s 9d to 12s 7d, best woolly lambs 10s, shorn lambs 4s to 63 6d, black face lambs 5s 9d to 7s 6d, culls 3s. Cattle. —Very few cattle were yarded. Prices were as follows: —Springing cows M 10s, cows with calves at foot £4, mixed weaners 15s, 3-year old stears £3.
