MASTERTON COUNTY. OTICE is hereby given that the Electoral Rt lis and Defaulters' Lists for the several Ridings of the Masserton County will be open for inspection it the County Office, Chapel Street, Masterton, from the 27th inst. to the 15th of May next. Copies of the said Rolls and Lists may also be seen between the dates mentioned at the following places:— For tho Opaki Riding —At the residences of Mr W. L. Falconer, Fernridge, and Mr W. R. Taylor, Mount Bruce Road. For the Rangitumau Riding—The Post Office, Rangitumau. For the Upper Taueru Riding—The Post Office, Bideford. For the To Whiti Riding—The residence of Mrs John Pike, Te Whiti. For the Wainuioru Riding —At the residence of Mr H. H. Beetham, Brancepeth ; Mr T. Cripps, Seven Oaks, AVharoania; and Mr J. H. Tatham, Homewood. For the Alfredton Riding—At Messrs Herbert and Co.'s Store, Alfredton; the residences of Mr W. J. Saunders, Tiraumea, and Mr S. W. Green. Waterfalls. MASTEBTON COUNTY. Proposal to raise a Loan under "The Local Bodies Loan Act, 1901," and its Amendments. NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the Masterton County Council, subject to the consent of the Ratepayers being obtained thereto by Poll, to raise a Loan under the above mentioned Acts for the purpose of constructing Head Works and distributing races in connection with a Water Supply for the Opaki Water Supply District. The sum proposed to be borrowed for the said purpose is >£2500. The currency of the loan is to bo a period of 21 years, and the proposed security will be a special rate of one penny in the pound on the rateable value for the time being of all rateable property within the said Water-race .District, as defined in the special order made by the Council on the Bth day of June, 11)05 constituting the said District—but, excepting therefrom one hundred and forty three acres of land, being parts of Sections 03 to 69, 65 and 50, Blocks I Otahoua, and XIII Kopuaranga Survey Districts in the occupation of Mr Alfred Matthews, and lots 5 and G, parts of Sections SI, 83 and 85, Block 1., Otahoua, containing 59a Or 10p„ in the occupation of Steven Connell. The cost of raising the loan is to be a charge upon the money borrowed. A meeting of liatepayers for the purpose of considering the proposal'will be convened in accordance with the provisions of law, and notice of the time and place of such meeting will be given in due course.
