KILLED ON A RAILWAY CROSSING.

AUCKLAND, April 28. John Barrett, a single man, was killed on a railway crossing last night. The last train from Waihi was approaching a level crossing near Paeroa, when the driver noticed a dark object on the line, and attempted to pull up, but the train went over Barrett, who was killed instantaneously.
