ESCAPE OF PRISONERS.
AUCKLAND, April.27. 'Word was received to-day by Inspector Cullen that two prisoners, named John Prances Usher,and John Johnson, had escaped from .the Waiotapu prison camp, near Rotorua. :Both men were undergoing a .sentence of five years imprisonment. No details are to hand as to howithe escape was effected.
