WELLINGTON, April 27.

Sir Joseph Ward states that the revenue for the last financial year was £9,060,989, and the expenditure £8,21.3,965. The excess of revenue over expenditure was £850,024. Add to this £717,825 brought forward from the previous year, making the total ways and means available to £1,557,849. Of this £BOO,OOO was transferred to the Public Works Fund, leaving a balance on March Slat last of £767,849. Last year's revenue exceeded that of the previous year by £656,871.
