Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows: —We held our Eketahtma sale on Friday. More sheep •came forward than were advertised. Bidding, under the hammer was dull lowing to settlers not understanding ■the time limit allowed to the auctioneer for selling client;;' stock. We consider if two minutes had been 'Allowed aa a start vendors would fhava been more satisfied. We quote: Wethers to 12s 6d, full-mouth ewes in lamb to Bs, 2 and 4-tooth ewes to 12s 3d, 2-tooth ewes (small) 12a, fat and forward ewes Us, cull ewes :3? to 4s 6d, lambs to 6a 6d. Cattle wera nearly Unsaleable. Heifers to «£2 14s, cows and calves to 20s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale held on Friday as follows-.—-There was a full yarding. C-ll sheep and poor sorts were hard to quit. Good classes sold up to last rates. We quote: 2-tooth wethers to 13s 2d, others Us 6d, lambs 3s 6d to 4s 6d, ewes in lamb to 6a 9d. Cattle — Only one line was yarded and these (speyed heifers) sold at ,255.
