PERSONAL.
On Wednesday Mr Charles Morgan, of Belvedere,/ was married to Mis 3 Hadfiekl, of Blenheim. At Dannevirke. on Monday, Mr A. W. Miller, of West Taratahi, was mjirfied to Miss E. E. Harwoud, of Rangitane, Hawke's Bay. The death occurred a few days ago of Miss A. Wilkinson, sister of Mr 11. Wilkinson, a well-known settler of Western Lake (Lower Valley.) While out riding recently Mis«? C. Martin, of Maryborough, was thrown from her horse and had a small bone in one of her wrists broken. Mr and Mrs C. E. Cock burn-Hood. who are on their way to England, left Colombo on the Uth inst. in excellent health, according to a letter received by a friend yesterday. Mr W. Winslade, secretary of the Opaki Rifle Club, and a well-known shot, is still suffering so severely from the effects of a dislocated knee sustained at work a few weeks ago, as to be confined to his bed. It is probable the injured limb will have to be encased in plaster of Paris for time.
