Easter Stakes. —Kuban 1, Little Lad 2, Vavasor 3. Time, Imin 29Jset. Cumberland Stakes.—Poseidon 1, Tartan 2, Peru 3. Won by five lengths, Peru fifteen lengths away. Time, 3min 341 sec. City Handicap.—Kapnaud 1, Waipuna 2, King's Cross 3. Won by a length. Time, 2min 39sec. A hostile demonstration was made against Poseidon after ths Cumberland Stakes win.
BY TEIiEGHAI'II —PIIEBB ASSOCIATION. Received April 22, 10.11 a.m. | SYDNEY, April 22. At the yearling sales of thoroughbreds, Mr J. B. Reid, of Ellerslie, purchased half a dozen youngsters, of whom four were Cambadello-bred fillies by St. Alwyn, and one by Glaucus; as well as a Havilah-bred halfbrother to Caravel. A New Zealand-bred colt by Soult —Crecy, was purchased for 180 guineas by Mr Johnson, of New Zealand.
