KOPUARANGA SPORTS.
((Special Reporter.) 'The eleventh annual gathering of Jthe Kopuaranga Sporta Club was held 'at Dreyerton yesterday, and passed • off very successfully. Though the day -was overcast, and there were indications of rain, the attendance "was good, and included many visitors from Masterton. The various events "were got off expeditiously, and a good afternoon's sport resulted. There were good entries in each of the events, and these, especially the foot races, were keenly contested. R. McKenzie was the most successful runner, winning two of the four distances in the Kopuaranga Handicap, as well as the special gold medal for most; points in the athletic events. ' There were a number of children's races during the afternoon. In the evening a social and dance was held in the Hall, and was largely attended. The Secretary, Mr G. Donovan, * woiked energetically to make everything pa 33 off successfully, and was courteous and obliging to visitors. He was ably assisted by an energetic •committee.
