BY TELEGRAPH—PBESS ASSOCIATION. PALMERSTON N«, April 20. The fifth annual sports meeting of the Manawatu and West Coast Caledonian Society was held here to-day. The competitors present included Scott, the wrestling champion; of New Zealand, and McDcnald, the champion piper. The wrestling was a great feature of the afternoon sports, Scott's display being particularly fine- The following are some of th& prize winners':—Sword dance, W. Sutherland,. Highland reel, D. McDonald; dancing Irish jig, D. McDonald; high jump, W. Martin; 440 yards flat, H. Reid; half mile, H. Cohan; half mile, one mile, and two mile cycle; races, F. Wells;, wrestling (Cumberland style),, R» Scott; wrestling (catch-as-catch-can), R. Scott; Highland fling, W. Sutherland..
