T AUHERENIKAU RACES. POSTPONED TILL TO-DAY. The boisterous weather which prevailed on Saturday morning in the Wairarapa was the cause of the Wairarapa Racing Club postponing the opening day of the Tauherenikau meeing until to-day. The stewards met and unanimously decided that it would be inadvisable to go on with the races in the then state of the elements, and their action was justifed, heavy rain continuing practically all day. The prospects for today are rather brighter than on Saturday, as no rain fell during yesterday, and there was no indication of rain up to an early hour this morning. AUCKLAND RACES.
