MASTERTON TRUST LANDS TRUSTEES.

ORDINARY MEETING Tlie Masterton Trust Lands Trustee 3 held their ordinary meeting on Thursday evening. Present. —Messrs T. B. Michell (chairman), E. G. Eton, W. H. Jackson, E. McEwen, J. Hessey, and R. Krahagen. The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £292 2s. The secretary of the Wellington Harbour Board wrote stating that the sinking fund commissioners agreed to the conditions re borrowing balance of (he Town Hall loan, and with reference to the £IO,OOO building loan, asking for particulars as to revenue, fixing maximum sum to be borrowed-annually at £3,000, and minimum at £I,OOO. The secretary was instructed to supply the information desired. The secretary of the Harbour Board also forwarded four debentures of £SO paid off in March. . Mr J. Pybus wrote asking the Trustees to clear the creek adjoining their property in Queen Street. The secretary stated that the matter had been attended to. The Headmaster of the District High School (Mr W. 11. Jackson) forwarded a list of matriculated students entitled to the £lO grant. Mr Jackson stated that he had prepared a certificate for scholars keeping terms to sign. Mr H. A. Jones wrote asking permission of the Trustees to allow Mr Groombridge, owner of part town acrt* 74, to connect with the brick wall ot the shop occupied by Ah Lop without erecting fresh party wall. The Trust solicitors (Messrs Bunny and Dolan) having reported against the application, it was decided not to grant it in the from asked, but it was suggested that Mr Groombridge should add the width of another brick to Mr Ah Lop's wall, which would achieve the desired object, the addition to be the property of the Trust. An application was received from the Volunteer authorities, asking for a re-lease at a reduced rant of the Drill Hall, also for a new floor to be put in suitable for dancing purposes. The application was held over until next meeting, and the chairman and Mr Daniell were asked to inspect the floor in the meantime. Accounts amounting to £4O 9.* Id were passed for payment.
