The death is announced of Mrs.J. Andrews, mother of Mr Geo. Andrews, of Carterton. At Eketahuna, on Wednesday last, Mr W. Ashworth, son of Mr T . Ash'worth, of Parkville, was married to Miss F. Bray, daughter of .Mr J. Bray, of Hastwell. Mr C. Morgan, jnr., of Carterton who is to be married shortly., has been presented by his fellow employees with a handsome eight-clay clock, to mack the occasion. Mr Hugh Morrison, who is to be married shortly, ,was presented at Blarlof ie station ' last week, by the •anployees of Mr-Rupert -Morrison, with a set .of cutlery .and a hot water kettle, as a mark of.,esteem. The presentation was made by Mr J. Front, an behalf of the employees. Mr Mor_riso.ii .suitably replied. Mr Kenneth McKenzie, one .of the early New Zealand settlers, died yesterday at his home at Stoney Creek., Palmerston North. Deceased, who was very highly esteemed, was HI years of age, and lstues a widow, nine sons and seven daughters. Among the sons are Messrs Alex. McKenzie, of Featherston. Win. and Thou. McKenzie, of Master ton, £., '1.., and K. McKenzie, of Palmerston North. Mrs C. Bannister o_. •Upper Opaki, is a daughter of deceased.
