ELLERSLIE NOTES., BY TELEOIIAPII—PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, April 13. With the exception of a mile on the sand run by Veronica in lmin 49sec., there was no work of importance at Ellerslie this morning. King Billy, Aborigine. Arc Light, Paritutu, Waihuka, Chanteuse, Finery, North Head, Diamond Star, Woodley, Terahai, Marangi, Stylish, Kir3ty, Mahuta, and Moeraki have arrived, and were on the track this morning, but were restricted to the lightest-exercise.

RICCARTON NOTES. CHRISTCHURCH, April 13. It being an off morning, work was restricted to light work, useful pacing being principally all that was accomplished. S. Waddell arrived yesterday with Zimmerman, Kairoma, Martyrium, North Pole and Rock Ferry, wno were all out this morning. All are looking well, especially Zimmerman. Fleetfoot has unfortunately developed lameness, and will be a doubtful starter at the* meeting.

The autumn meeting of the Wairarapa Racing Club will take place at the popular Tauher enikau| racecourse on Saturday, April 18th, and Monday, April 20th (Easter Monday), and will no doubt attract a large number of visitors on both days. The stakes are substantial in amount, and as the acceptances are large, some good racing should be witnessed. Particulars of the railway arrangements are given in our advertising 1 columns.
