Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their usual fortnightly sale of wool, skins and hides op Friday afternoon. The market'was not animated, and prices were about equal to those ruling at last sales. We quote as follows : Wool. —Ci'o3sbred 4d to 4|d, lam!) 4d to 4Jd, dead 3fd, mixed 2Jd. Skitif. —Crossbred medium 4|d to 5Jd, *oarae crossbred 3sd to 4Jd, shorts 3id, lambs 3&c', hoggets sd, dead and broken 2Jd to 3j|d, pelts 2sd to 3£d, salted lambs Is 6d to Is lOd, ■salted crossbreds 2s to 2s 4d, butchers' crossbreds 2s 3d to 2a 9d each. Hides.—Ox, 54 to Gllba 5Jd to 53d, ■cow, 42 to 52' ibs, 3Jd to 4gd, cows ■cut and slippy 2d to 3d, yearlings 3Jd to 3fd, calf 3Jd to s*d. The New Zealand Loan and Meicantile Agency Company, Limited, report as follows: -At our fortnightly sale on Friday we offered and sold the usual catalogue of wool, sheepskins, hides and tallow. A firmer tone was in evidence at Friday's sale, but we are unable to report any material improvement in values. We quote.—Wool.—Coarse crossbred inferior 3Jd to 4£d, coarse inferior and seedy crossbred 2|d to 3d, lambs medium to good 4£d to fijd, lambs crutchings, inferior l£d to 2d. Sheepskins—Medium crossbred full wool 4fd to sd, medium crossbred half wool 4d to 4Jd, half bred •6Jd crossbred pelts dry 2Jd to 3Jd, crossbred pelts damaged £d to 2Jd, green pelts Is 5d to 2s 7d, green lamb pelts, Is Id to Is Bd. Hides. —Light ox 3|d to 4d, medium ox 4£d to 4Jd, light cow 3§d to 4d, ■damaged hides l£d to 3Jd, calf sound 5Jd, calf damaged ftd to 2Jd. Tallow.—Medium m'xed in shipping order to ' 23s per cwt, medium mixed in tins 18s Gd to 19s per cwt. Levin and Company, Limited, report as follows regarding Friday's sale:—We held our fortnightly sale on Friday, offering a small quantity of wool in bales and bags, 1,500 skins, 750 hides, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool.—Market remains steady at last sale rates. We quote. —Medium crossbred 4Ad to sd, inferior 3d to 4d, lambs wool 4d to sd, pieces 2d to 3d, locks Id to 2d. Skins. —No change to record. We •quote: —Fine* crossbreds 5d to 5Jd, crossbred 3£d to 5-Jd, dead skins 3d to 3Jd, dead hoggets 2£d to 3&d, dry pelts 2d to 2Jd, lamb skins 4d to 4£d, green pelts 2s to 2s Bd, green lambs (woolly) 2s to 2s Bd, green lamb pelts Is to Is 7d. Tallow.—Quiet. Parcels in shipping order £22 ss, tins £ls to £l9, rough fat £l3 to . £l4. Horsehair, Is to Is 3d per lb. Horns, 5s to 17s 6d per hundred. 'Cowtails, Is 6d der dozen. Hides. —There was a good demand for good •conditioned ox hides, and prices : advanced a halfpenny. Other lines no change.
