EMANUEL SWEDENBORG.
HIS REMAINS REMOVED TO SWEDEN. Received April 9, 8.55 a.m. LONDON, April 8. The remains of Emanuel Swedenborg, the fojnder of the Swedenborgians, have been removed from Stepney, ant' placed aboard a Swedish frigate foi conveyance to Karlskrona. Emanuel.Swedenborg was born at Stockholm in 1688, and died in London in 1772. He was celebrated as a philosopher and theosophist, and founded the New Church, or Swedenborgians. It was about 1743 that he commenced to have visions, and in 1747 he resigned a Swedish Government position in order to devote himself wholly to the expounding of the Scriptures as the immediate mouthpiece of God.
