STOCK MARKET.
. Messrs Dalgety end Co., Ltd., report having held a sale at their Kopuarangu sale yards yesterday. The jarding was r.ot up to expectations 'owing to the river and creeka being rather high, but several lines of .sheep came forward ; and they also .had a good yarding of cattle. The ■demand for ewes was not too lively at auction, but several linen were sold privately after the sale. Cattle were well competed for, and practically all the yarding was sold under the hammer. Full and failing mouth ewes 4s 6d to 8s 6d, s.m. ewes 8s 9d ;to 10* 6d, la to 20-mo/ith steers 325, :18 to ZO-months heifers 27s to 28s 6d, heifers £2 ss, 3-year old steers £3, yearlings 16s, 1 bull 20s and 1 cow £2 10s. Horses were dull of sale.
