SIR HENRY CAMPBELLBANNERMAN.
HEALTH NO WORSE. PUBLIC EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY. Received April 7, 9.53 a.m. LONDON, April 7. During the last few days Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman 's health has been no worse. He takes an interest in current events. Parliament has been adjourned till April 14th. The Marquis of Ripon, Marquis of Lansdowne, Messrs H. H. Asquith A. J. Balfour and J. Redmond paid a warm tribute to Sir Henry CampbellBannerman 's character, and the services he had rendered the country. His retirement has evoked many public expressions of sympathy, including a unanimous resolution by the Central Committee of the Manchester Conservative Association of profound regret that the state of the Premier's health necessitated his resignation, and expressing an earnest hope that he may long be spared to enjoy in retirement the respect and esteem in which he is held by all political parties. The, Hon H. H. Asquith has started for Biarritz.
