BT TBLEGRAPH —I'BESS ASSOCIATION . society op railway servants. MR HORNSBY AND THE "RAILWAY REVIEW." DANNEVIRKE, April 6. At a meeting, yesterday, of the local members of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, resolutions were passed (1) regretting the removal of the "Ra'lway Review" from the control of Mr J. T. M. Hornbsy, M.P., and placing on record the valuable services rendered to the Society by Mr Hornsby; (2) that in removing the "Review" from the control of Mr Hornsby, the majority of the members at the late conference did not act in the best interests of the Society. At Woodville a meeting of railway men parsed similar resolutions, and also pledged themselves to stand by the six members of the conference in the minority. A CYCLIST'S DEATH. WELLINGTON, April 6. Additional particulars in connection with the death of Gillies, telegraphist, who was killed on Sunday, by a motor car, show that the road where the accident happened was wide enough to allow several vehicles to pass. When the motor-car came within a few yards of the cyclists the deceased seemed to swerve, and was struck by the car, which passed over the cyclist and bicycle.
