DUNEDIN, March 4. In reply to a deputation from the society for the protection of women an 3 children the Premier said that legislation was in preparation for next session with a view to effecting reform whereby proceedings could be taken on behalf of women who were at present, afraid to proceed themselves for an attachment of wages. He agreed that the definition of wages under the Destitute Persons Act required enlargement.
