GENERAL STRIKE AT ROME.

LABOUR LEADERS AND ANARCHIST ARRESTED. ROME, April 3. Owing to yesterday's disturbance, a general strike has been declared in Rome. The chief Labour leaders and Anarchists have been arrested. Twenty-one policemen were injured yesterday. Serious rioting took place in Rome on Thursday in connection with the funeral of a working man. The police ordered the cortege to follow a certain route, but the processionists refused to follow this rouxe. The crowd tried to convert the funeral into a political demonstration. They pelted the police with bricks. The police fired on the crowd, killing two. and wounding twelve. The affair created an extraordinary amount of excitement in the city.-
