_ « At !) a.m. yesterday Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind. —Westerly, strong to gale at all places after from ten to sixteen hours. Barometer.—Fall everywhere but. rising at places south of Queenstown and Oamaru after sixteen hours. Rain is probable generally. Warning signal for westerly gale i«. exhibited at Capes Fouhvind, Campbell, Farewell Spil, and Nuggets, and will be shown after sunrise at Copes Maria Van Die men, Tiritiri, and East Cape. Mr W. b\ Day,-Brooklyn, Gladstone, reports as follows:—The total rainfall for March was S.GG inches. Rain fell on twelve days, (he highest was 1.2.3 on the 20tb and 1.24 on the 21st. The lowest .02 points on the 25th. Mr 11. G. Groves, Bush Grove, reports as follows:--—The total rainfall for March was 7.25 points. Maximum fall, 1.530n the 20th; days on which rain fell, 15; maximum temperature for the month, 90 on 2nd inst.; minimum temperature for the month, 34 on the 16th. Rainfall for March, 1907, 8.01 points.
