The following changes in the Post and Telegraph Department are announced by the Postmaster-General: —Mr J. L. H. Ledger, assistant controller of money orders and savings banks and assistant accountant at the General Post Office, Wellington, to be controller of money orders and savings banks and accountant at the General Post Office, Wellington; H. N. R. .Muggins, first clerk vud accounts clerk at the General Post. Office, Wellington, to be assistant' controller of money order and savings banks, and assistant accountant at the General Post Office, Wellington ; Mr R. B. Morris, assistant postmaster, Wellington, to be inspector of savings banks; Mr E. 0. Gannaway, chief mail clerk, at Wellington, to be assistant postmaster at Wellington; Mr A. Alexander, mail rooms supervisor, Wellington, to be chief mail clerk at Wellington; MrW. Gee, accountant, chief Post Office, at Christchurch, to be asfifJtant inspector of savings banks; Mr H. A. Gi'ler, second money' order and savings bank clerk at Christchurch, to be accountant, Christchurch; Mr A. M. Jones, accountant, New Plymouth, to be second money order and savings bank clerk at Christchurch; Mr A. J. W. Johnston, telegraphist, New Plymouth, to be accountant at New Plymouth; Mr W. Chegwidden, sectional clerk, accountants branch at the General Post Office, to be fust clerk and accounts clerk at the General Post Office, Wellington; Mr R. Booth, senior check clerk at Auckland, to be assistant officer in charge of the telegraph office at Nelson; Mr A. W. Oxley, postmaster at Milton, -to be assistant oflicer-in-charge of the telegraph office at Napier; Mr P. D. Maguire, telegraphist at Dunedin, to be postmaster a* Milton; Mr W. Bailey, senior telegraphist at Hawera, to be postmaster at Inglewood; Mr H. E. Moore, telegraphist at Masterton, to be senior clerk at Hawera; Mr 11. G. Turner, second clerk at Thames, to be postmaster at Davenport; Mr M. B. Fsson, telegraphist at Dannevirke, to be senior telegraphist at Thames; Mr R. Martin, telegraphist at Auckland, to be relieving postmaster in the Auckland district; Mr C. Ansell, check clerk at Wanganui, to be senior telephone exchange clerk at Auckland; Mr G. Ormsby, telegraphist at Christchurch, to be postmaster at Weber; Mr W. McHutcheson, chief postmaster at Timaru, to be promoted to chief postmaster at Invercargill; Mr H. W. Capper, chief postmaster at Invercargill, to be transferred to Timaru, which office is also being raised in status; Mr W. T. Ward, assistant postmaster at Dunedin, to be postmaster at Palmcrston North; Mr S. Inder, postmaster at Palmcrston North, to be postmaster «it Masi terton; the grade of the Masterton office has been raised; Mr T. Hester, postmaster at Masterton, to be postmaster at Lichfield street, Christchurch.
