The Carterton Borough Council has appointed Captain Lumley, fire inspector for the borough of Carterton. Mr S. S. Myers has been elected president of the Otago Football Association for the nineteenth year in succession. Mr W. Winslade, the popular secretary of Opaki Rifle Club, and one of j.t« leading shots, is now recovering from a dislocated knee-cap, sustained Borne three weeks ago. Yesterday be was able to move about by the aid of crutches.
