REGISTRATION OF CLUBS' BILL. Received March 29, 4.17 p.m. LONDON, March 28. In the House of Commons Mr T. H. Sloan's Registration of Clubs in Ireland Bill was read a second time. It is a more drastic measure than Mr H. Asquith's Bill. It provides that no liquor shall be supplied for consumption off the premises, and no visitors or honorary members residing within seven miles of club premises shall be served with drink; during prohibited hours. Right of entry and inspection is given to the police. During the debate Mr T. W. Russell, Liberal M.P. for Tyrone South, indicated that the last-men-tioned clause required amendment. I | |
