NEW PLYMOUTH, March 26. For the second day of the Taranaki autumn meeting there was fine weather. Results : Pukotori Hack Hurdles—lmmolaion 1, Bushranger 2, Speciosa 3. Also started—Black Squall, Moosken and Star Rose. Won by five lengths. Black Squall fell. Time, 2min 51sec. Grandstand Handicap Moriarty 1, Waihaka 2, Kareroa 3. Also started—St. Maria, Supplement, Pylades. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 2 2-ssec.
Wharepapa Hack—lnaha 1, Nukutihi 2, Silver Lead 3. Also started —Billow, Hydraulic, Crucinella, Burton, Mistress. Won all the way by two lengths. Time, Imin 17sec. Paul Memorial Handicap—Signor 1, Scotty 2, Daisy Paul 3. Also started—Mahuta, Silver Shell, Starina. Mahuta and Daisy Paul led to the distance, where Scotty came fast, followed by Signor, who was dll out at the finish. Won by a neck. Time, Imin 58 3-ssec. Welter Handicap Carissima 1, Irish Rifle 2, Gleam 3. Also started —Le Beau, Climax, Wee Trinket, Showman, Iseult. Won by a short neck. Time, Imin 32sec. Kawau Hack—Somali 1, Pearlie 2, The Dane 3. Also started—Mallet, Lantern, Kilmarnock. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 45sec. Farewell Handicap—Golden Eagle 1, Silver Lead 2, Dear Dolly 3. Also started—Miss Vera. Won easily. Time, Imin 15 2-ssec. Final Hack Flutter—Nicotine 1, Eastmere 2, Grizzle 3. Also started —Muskerado, Vunels, Roselake, Eclogue, Astraea, Timothy. Won by a length. Time, Imin 4sec.
FEILDING NOMINATIONS
Nominations for all events to be run at the Feilding Jockey Club's Easter meeting on April 20th and 21st, with the exception of the Tri&l Plate and Maiden Scurry, will close with the secretary, Mr E. Goodbehere, Feilding, at 8.30 p.m., on Monday next, March 30th.
WELLINGTON PONY AND GALLOWAY RACING CLUB.
The meeting of thn Wellington Pony and Galloway Racing Club, which was set down for Saturday last, and postponed on account of the bad weather, will be held to-morrow. Many new ponies have been entered, and it is anticipated that fields will be larga and the racing full of interest. The Club's town offices are in Custom House Quay, where business in connection with the meeting may be transacted up to 11 'clock on the day of the races and for the issue of bookmakers' licenses and payment of deposits. No licenses will be issued on the course.
