Mr H. Tocker, of Greytown, intends to take a trip to England shortly. Miss Emily Butler, attending the Carterton Methodist Sunday School, was successful this year in winning the gold medal for the highest total number of marks obtained in the school during the year. This medal is open to the whole school, boys anc girls, for competition. Master F. Butler won a gold star for tlie nexl highest number of marks. The golc medal has to be won two years ir succession to become the property ol the holder, but the star can be wor straight out. The medal has twice previously been competed for.
