- * Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours, up till 9 a.m. on Friday, was SI points.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind—South-easterly, strong to gale on east coast between Kaikoura and East Cape, also northward of Napier, Taupo and Kawhia; moderate to strong from same direction everywhere else. Barometer —Rise everywhere. Rain is probahle northward of Napier and New Plymouth, and colder weather everywhere. Warning signal tor southerly gale is exhibited at Cape Campbell.
