A TOWN COMPLETELY SUR- > ROUNDED. MANY ANIMALS WASHED AWAY. Received March 19, 10.49 a.m. SYDNEY, March, 19. The river Namoi at Gunnedah is higher than ever known befort. Wee Waa is completely surrounded. There has been no communication with the outside world for three days. Many animals are being washed away. At Narrabri the main strest is partially under water, and all the surrounding district is inundated. RIVERS IN QUEENSLAND SUBSIDING. MAIL TRAFFIC DISORGANISED. Received March 19, 10.49 a.m. BRISBANE, March 19. The rivers are subsiding at Rock- ' hampton qnd Buudaberg. Some of i the wharves and low-lying portions ' of the towns named were partially ' submerged. ! Many other places report floods. Much damage has been dont to the railway, and mail traffic is badly disorganised. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN REPORTS. MUCH COUNTRY INUNDATED. Received March 19, 10.49 a.m. ADELAIDE, March 19. There have been heavy rains, resulting in floods in the Far North. Much country has been inundated. The manager of a station at Narridy refuged in a tree, and remained foodless for two days and two nights till the flood subsided.
