STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale held yesterday as follows:—We submitted a full yarding of sheep, upwards of 10,000 of all classes being penned. Bidding at auction was dull, and although a large proportion of the sheep changed hands still prices were lower than those ruling at pur last sale. Few cattle were offered and very little business was done:—We quote:—Sheep—Fat ewes lis 3d to 14s Bd, fat and forward ewes 8s 9d to 10s, breeding ewes 8s to 9s 6d, 2-tooth ewes 10s lid to 12s 3d, old ewes 3s to 6s Id, fat and forward lambs lis 3d, store lambs 4s to 7s, culls Is 6d to 2s 9d, wethers 9s lid to 12s. Rams—Lmcolns 2gns to 4J gns, Romneys Jgn to 3gns, Border Leicesters 10s 6d. Cattle—Forward cows £3 12s 6d, heifers in calf 31s 6d, store cows 20s to £2, calves 6s to 10s. Sheep dogs—£2 17s 6d to £7.
