WHARF LABOURERS' STRIKE. THREE STRIKERS ARRESTED. Received March 18,10.22 a.m. SYDNEY, March 17. Three strikers have been arrested in connection with yesterday's demonstrations on the wharves. PREMIER AS MEDIATOR. STRIKE COMMITTEE DECLINE AN ARBITRATION PROPOSAL. Received March 18, 9.20 a.m. SYDNEY, March 18. After seeing the representatives of the coastal shipping companies, Mr Wade communicated with the president of the Waterside Workers, and asked him to put before the strike committee a proposal to refer the dispute to Arbitration. The committee declined to agree to this course, but is prepared to meet the coastal companies in conference. MINERS' STRIKE. BULLI MINERS RESUME WORK. Received March 18, 12.45 p.m. SYDNEY, March 18. The South Bulli miners have resumed, pending conciliation.
