At Featherston on Tuesday Mr A. R. Thomas was married to Miss M. B. Everitt.

Mr W. C. Maddison, Chairman of the Hastings School Committee, pxmember of the Hawke's Bay Education Board and Hastings Borough Council, died at noon yesterday.

At Nikau, Pahiatua, last week, Miss Edith Blanche Gardner, youngest daughter of Mr Andrew Gardner, of Nikau, was married to Mr J. A. Griffiths, of Sydenham.

On Tuesday, at Greyfown, Mr 'Thomas Edward Lloyd Roberts, of Scargill, wa3 married to Miss Christabel Murray, youngest daughter of Mr Angus Murray, of Kakanui, near Oamaru. Miss M. Murray, of Wellington, and Miss M. Armour, were the bridesmaids.

A quiet wedding was celebrated at the residence of the bride's parents, yesterday, when Miss Helen McHattie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs G. McHattie, Worksop road, was married to Mr Horace Reynolds, fourth son of Mrs P. M. Reynolds, of Lincoln road. The bride was given away by her father, was attired in a cream cloth costume with hat to match, and was attended by her sister Miss Jennie McHattie, as bridesmaid, who wore a handsome dress of white, lawn muslin trimmed with insertion and lace with hat to match. MfM. Parkin, of Wellington, was best man, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. T. Thompson. The. newly-wedded couple left by the afternoon train for Wellington.
