COOPER'S OPERASCOPE COMPANY.

Speaking of Cooper's Operascope Company, which will open a season in Masterton in the Town Hall this evening, an exchange says:—"The pictures were displayed * on an unusually large scale, and with a clearness which left nothing to be desired. The subjects possessed the pleasing feature of b-jing entirely new, for which the audience were devoutly grateful. The series of scenes from the opera 'The Mikado,' some of which were beautifully coloured, were simply perfection. The 'Alice in Wonderland' series was also greatly, enjoyed, especially by the younger generation. The illusion pictures such as 'Living Flowers,' and 'Tit for Tat,' were magnificent." Miss Louie B'isher and Mr Hugh Wilson will contribute musical sketches and vocal items.
