A Young Man's Suicide.

AUCKLAND, March 1 6. A young man, named David JKrnest Forest, aged 19 years, committed suicide at Mayfield. Forest, who was a carpenter employed at the Chelsea Sugar Works.. left home, saying he was going to shoot rabbits. Later his brother found a letter from David stating that he was going "dotty," and intended to put an end to himself. The brother proceeded, with his mother, to the spot indicated in the letter, and found the dead body of David with a gun beside it. \ The deceased, who shot himself in the head, spent many sleepless nights, and the fear of an operation preyed on his mind.
