The Rev. W. J. Elliott, who has been attending the Methodist Confer- ' ence at Auckland, returned to Carterton on Friday. Mr T. P. Valentine, who for many ; years carried on business' in Martinborough as a chemist, has bought a i similar business at Pukekohe. noar , Au rt kland.
Mr H. A. be Lacy, second son of the late Mr A. H. De Lacey, of Carterton, was married, at Takapau last week to Miss G. F. s Paget, daughter - of Mr T. Paget, of Takapau. The funeral of the late Mr Reginald Minna, whose death occurred at JVatarawa on Friday last, took place -at the Greytown Cemetery yesterday, and was attended by a large^number - of settlers.
