METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind South-easterly, moderate to strong at all placrs northward of Napier and New Plymouth; westerly strong to gale after 16 hours in other parts of the North Island and earlier in the South Island. Barometer. Little movement northward of Napier and New Plymouth; fall everywhere else. Rain— Probable in the South Island; some indications in the North Island southward of New Plymouth and Napier. Warning signal- for westerly gale is exhibited at Gapes Campbell, Foulwind, Farewell Spit and Nugget Point.
