Scarcity of Grass Seed.
AUCKLAND, March 13. Inquiries made from Auckland seed merchants, to-day, revealed the fact that grass seed stocks, with the exception of rye-grass, are almost bare. The demand, moreover, is stated to be three times as much as in former years. The chief rise in prices is in cocksfoot, the wholesale cost being 15s lOd f.o.b. from the south.
