The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their sales at Pahiatua, Opnki and Masterton as follows:—We handled upwards of 10,000 sheep, embracing all classes at each centre, selling practically all. All sheep met with a better reception, and we have to record a substantial rise all round. Cattle were not well represented, and only those lots which were unreserved change hands. We cannot look for any rise in price un'il serviceable rains make their appearance, and establish good autumn feed and prospects of grass for the coming vvjnter.
