TWO-POWER STANDARD.
WHAT MR BALFOUR FEARS. Received March 11, 8.44 a.m. LONDON, March 10. Mr Rolertson incidentally stated that both sides of the House had accepted the two-Power standard andgthat the Admiralty considered that under the new programme that standard would be amply maintained. Mr Balfour insisted that by the end of 1911 Germany would enjoy a dangerous superiority in Dreadnoughts if she were able to build as fast as Britain Received March 11, 8.58 p.m. LONDON, March 11. In the House of Commons during 4 he debate on the vote for Naval pay ir Balfour, reiterating his comparisons of the navies, asked for a clearer answer than was possible the previous night. Mr Asquith said that the country •must maintain an unassailable supremacy. The two-power standard was good, practicable and workable On that there was no difference of opinion.
