TESTING THE VALIDITY OF AN ORDER.

Received March 7, 9.10 a.m. LONDON, March 6. Unless a medical report as to the condition of Robert Caldwell, a witness in the Druce case, who is charge with perjury, is forthcoming before 18th March, Mr Fox, attorney to the British Consul in New York, will test the validity of Judge Clark's order in sending Caldwell to an asylum.

Caldwell was arrested in New York and broke down shortly after. Lastmonth on his daughter's petition he was committed to an asylum.
