THE GATESHEAD MURDER.
NOBLE SENTENCED TO DEATH
Received March 5, 8.52 a.m. LONDON, March 4. Noble, the | Gateshead murderer, was sentenced to death.
In November last, two committeemen of a co-operative store near Gateshead, England, who were watching in the premises owing to burglaries having been committed, saw a masked burglar enter the building. A struggle ensued, and one of the watchers was shot dead. Joseph Noble, a blacksmith, was arrested, and in his house was found a considerable quantity of stolen property. SHAH OP PERSIA. THE RECENT BOMB-THROWING. FOUR ARRESTS MADE. Received March 5, 9.36 p.m. TEHERAN, March 5. Four persons, suspected of throwing boonbs at the Shah, have been arrested at the Shrine of the Shah Abdulazim, where for centuries criminals enjoyed immunity.
